Pompeii, 2024
Pompeii is an audio-visual journey that weaves together movement, text, and music. It delves into historical events and mythical stories, centering on the Roman city of Pompeii, which was destroyed in 79 AD by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
This catastrophic event buried the city and froze it in time, turning its narrative into one of suspended history. In the performance, the eruption becomes a springboard for broader reflections on themes such as abundance versus destruction, fate versus choice, and movement versus stillness.
Pompeii continues the exploration of the human body as both a physical entity and a symbolic representation, building on themes from recent artworks like "The Cosmic Pillar (2023)”, Diver Festival 2022 and others.
